Golden Retriever Puppy Vaccination Schedule

Proper vaccination is critical for your Golden Retriever puppy's long-term health. We make sure every puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations before going home, and we provide a full vet-reviewed record to continue with your own veterinarian.

Vaccinations Completed Before Pickup

Each puppy receives the first core vaccination series, typically administered at 6-8 weeks of age. This includes the DHPP combination vaccine, which protects against:

  • Distemper
  • Hepatitis (Adenovirus)
  • Parvovirus
  • Parainfluenza

Recommended Full Schedule

Your veterinarian will continue the schedule after you bring your Golden Retriever puppy home:

Age Vaccines
6-8 weeksDHPP (1st dose) — Administered by us
10-12 weeksDHPP (2nd dose), optional Lepto
14-16 weeksDHPP (3rd dose), Rabies
12-16 weeksBordetella (if boarding/daycare)
AnnualBoosters as recommended by your vet

Important

Until your Golden Retriever puppy has completed their full vaccination series (around 16 weeks), avoid places where unvaccinated dogs may have been — dog parks, pet stores, heavy-traffic sidewalks, and rest stops. Safe socialization with vaccinated adult dogs is still encouraged and critical for development.

Deworming Schedule

All our Golden puppies are dewormed regularly starting at 2 weeks of age, with a final fecal check before pickup day. This protects against common intestinal parasites and ensures your puppy arrives healthy.

Records Provided

When you bring your Golden Retriever puppy home, you receive a complete health folder with:

  • Dates of all vaccinations administered
  • Vaccine brand and lot numbers
  • Deworming medication names and dates
